If you are in a high risk flood zone (i.e., if you are NOT in Flood Zone X), then your policy rate will increase over the next 4 to 5 years. If you sell your property, or you are buying a new home in a high risk flood zone, then the new policy will automatically reflect a new higher rate (no gradual increase).
