Spotted: Coral Gables Restaurant Voted Top 5 Power Lunch Spot

HauteLiving.com published a list of the top 5 power lunch spots in Miami and Hillstone on Miracle Mile in Coral Gables made the short list! Located at 201 Miracle Mile, I can personally tell you this restaurant is buzzing around lunch time. It’s corner location, where Houston’s used to be, makes it an easy meeting point. The variety on the menu also makes this restaurant appealing for a lunch time meeting. There’s something for everyone! Check out the menu here.

Oh and the service… is excellent as well. It’s one of my favorite Coral Gables eateries.

Al Fresco Dining

Although the weather is rainy and gray, I’m hoping for great weekend weather for my out-of-town clients. They are considering buying in Coconut Grove and have asked for outdoor dining recommendations. Oh, where to start?

Gibraltar Restaurant in Grove Isle

I have to pass along my go to Coconut Grove eatery: Peacock Cafe. The outdoor ambiance is so whimsical and friendly. I’m mentioning Gibraltar in Grove Isle as well – the water views are spectacular and the seafood-focused menu is fresh and beautifully prepared. This restaurant was also recently featured in Haute Living’s top five outdoor dining rooms in South Florida.

I’ll be passing on the list to my clients as well. Do you frequent any favorite restaurants with remarkable outdoor dining spaces?

Miami Spice Starts Today

For all my fellow foodies out there – Miami Spice starts today and runs through the end of September! If you are new to the area or visiting, this will quickly become a favorite South Florida event for you.  During August and September, Miami’s top restaurants offer three-course meals (Lunches $19 or $23, Dinners $33 or $39) featuring signature dishes created by world-renowned chefs.

It really is an absolutely terrific way to experience new restaurants. There are 29 participating restaurants in Coral Gables and Coconut Grove alone. View them here or view the entire offering here. I recommend trying Ortanique and Seasons 52 on Miracle Mile. My Coconut Grove recommendation, of course, is Peacock Cafe.
