No, this isn’t Colorado! But Coral Gables is lighting up to kickoff the holiday season tomorrow, Thursday November 15th at Village of Merrick Park’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony from 6:30-8:30PM. According to the shopping center’s website, the festivities include in-store events and promotions and live entertainment, culminating with the lighting of the 50-foot tree by the evening’s Master of Ceremonies, Head News Anchor at Fox WSVN Channel 7, Belkys Nerey and Santa Claus.
Also, they are encouraging visitors to bring an unwrapped toy to donate to the Toys for Tot Drive.
The official city of Coral Gables lighting ceremony won’t occur until December 5th. I’ll post a reminder closer to the date. When will your tree or menorah go up? Send me pics, I’d love to share with readers.
